Frequently asked questions
Should I take IELTS Academic or General Training?
Academic is usually for university admission and professional registration. General Training is usually for migration and work experience. Check which one your institution or immigration authority asks for before you book.
Is IELTS taken on computer or on paper?
Many test centres offer both formats, and which one you can sit depends on your centre. The skills tested are the same either way, so our preparation covers both.
How many weeks do I need?
It depends on your starting level and your target band. Four weeks suits students already close to their target, eight weeks gives time to work on every skill, and twelve weeks adds a grammar and vocabulary foundation. The free level assessment helps you choose.
How long are IELTS results valid?
Results are generally accepted for 2 years. Always check the requirements of the organisation you are applying to.
